About Us
The Real Canadian Superband was formed in 2019 out of the ashes of a former Tragically Hip Tribute Band. The band has been together in one form or another since 2016. We strive to provide an authentic Canadian experience from the rock music of 5 decades to the stage banter, backdrop, dress and attitude. The band’s motto is “every gig is Canada Day!” and we want to bring people together with our common history and music.
Ben Wanner is the drummer, lead singer and harmony singer of the band. Ben has always had a passion particularly for Canadian rock and was inspired by such singing drummers such as Levon Helm and Robbie Bachman
Chris Grant is the lead guitarist and lead/harmony singer in the band. Chris is a schooled musician with years of experience. He also rounds out the groups sound with keyboards and harp. Chris is an exciting and multi talented performer who is always noticed and respected.
Jack Miller is the group’s most experienced performer. He plays lead and rhythm guitar as well as singing leads and harmony vocals. He is the glue that keeps this band together. Jack likes to throw in a little Canada history in between jokes and music. He always brings the music and the fun!
